I recently was introduced to the app Flipbook by a friend and started browsing through all the top articles about weddings...there is some great stuff out there if you haven't see this app.

I came across an article that was the "do's and don't's" of some of key members that will be attending your wedding.

This can be a very sensitive but also so important topic. It is really important for the bride and groom to stand their ground of how they want their event to go. This means even having some hard conversations about budget, responsibilities, concerns, etc.

In my experience, it is important to have these conversations as often as necessary in order to set the tone. If there are disagreements or misunderstandings, it needs to be handled immediately. Otherwise, it will build up and turn for the worst closer to the event or even on the event day. The last thing you need is the additional stress of a misunderstanding...

My suggestion if you are not a person who likes confrontation or even a hard conversation, have your wedding planner involved in the discussion. Often, they can be an "outsider" to the situation but also provide a different point of view that can help move the discussion forward. While the event planner may not have the actual conversation, they can be a great support person for not only the happy couple but the family and wedding party too.  At the end of the day, the people in your wedding party and/or immediately family should want what's best for the bride and groom on their day.

For more do's and don’ts for your wedding party, see the article below that inspired me to write this blog.
